The problem with vibe coding is not the coding
A new debate has started around vibe coding.
On one side, non-technical people with ideas have been liberated unleashed by AI-assisted coding.
On the other side, software engineers warning about the actual risks and consequences of building software without technical expertise.
There are numerous stories about apps being hacked, Personally Identifiable Information (PII) being leaked, and third-party integrations being abused.
So which one is it?
It’s one thing to create tools to optimize your life or games for your kids, but it’s another to create software that other people will use, whether they pay for it or not.
You can still finally launch that SaaS idea you’ve had for years, and still do most of it yourself…
But at least, get somebody, ideally someone who’s spent years doing just that, to have a look and give you feedback before you launch.
