Meeting recordings, transcripts, and Gemini notes
Who still takes notes during meetings today? Right.
With Google Meet, your meeting notes — and derived action items — live directly in your Google Drive as Google Docs. That means you can search them, chat with them, reference them, expand from them using Gemini across the workspace, or have your favorite AI agent access them through integrations.
Shared Drives
Shared Drives are what make Google Drive feel like a company file system instead of a bunch of personal folders shared around.
Files belong to the organization, not the person who uploaded them. This matters.
Appointment scheduling
I officially switched to this last week.
I was still using Calendly because of its multi-calendar conflict syncing, but I found a way to sync other calendars with Google Calendar.
So, bye Calendly.
Bonus: eSignature
I don’t find it as polished as tools like DocuSign, but it is easy to use and good enough for simple contracts.
Shared Drives can be life-saving, and the other three features can replace entire product subscriptions.
That is where the value of the Standard plan becomes obvious.
And if you run webinars or larger live calls, the Plus plan may be worth considering too, since it gives you more participants and extra meeting controls.
